Beckwith, John Watrous, 1831-1890.

John Watrus Beckwith (1831-1890) was an Episcopalian Bishop of Georgia from 1868 until his death. Before becoming Bishop of the Diocese of Georgia, he was rector at various churches. After being ordained bishop, he lived in Macon, Savannah (1870-1874), Marietta, and Atlanta, where he died. Additional information on the Rt. Rev. Beckwith may be found in the Journals of the Conventions of The P. E. Church in Georgia, volume six, 1891-1894.
