Fred M. Warner, of Farmington, Oakland County, was born in Hickling, Nottinghamshire, England, July 21, 1865. His mother died shortly after moving to the U.S. He was adopted by Hon. P.D. Warner of Farmington. Fred Warner attended the State Agricultural College for one term before becoming a clerk in his father's store. He took over the business and successfully ran it for 20 years.
