Walker Austin (1803-1881), realtor, financier, and proprietor, and his wife Euphemia McKinney moved from Missouri to Texas in 1857, along with his daughter, Sallie Ann, and her husband, Archibald J. Rose, known for his efforts with the Texas State Grange.
