Davison, Robert Howell, 1896-
Robert Howell Davison (1896-1979), a lawyer, received his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in 1917. While at Harvard Davison was a member of the Spee Club and the cross country and varsity track teams. After graduation, Davison served in the United States Navy during World War I as a Lieutenant aboard the U.S.S. Hancock. After the war, Davison returned to Harvard Law School, receiving his law degree in 1921. Davison specialized in corporate law and joined the Boston law firm of Baker, Williams, and Wood which later became Haussermann, Davison, and Shattuck. During World War II, Davison served as a Government Appeal Agent in the Selective Service System. Davison remained active in Harvard affairs throughout his life, serving as a Harvard Fund Agent for the Class of 1917, chairman of the Class of 1917 Twenty-fifth Reunion Committee, and as a member of the 1917 Class Committee. He was also a member of the Harvard Clubs of Boston and New York.
