Archie Stevenot was general superintendent at Carson Hill Mine, Tuolumne County (1919-1924) and later proprietor of two Merced, Calif. hotels that served tourists on way to Yosemite. Helped organize Mother Lode Highway Association to promote transportation facilities in remote California mountain communities.
