Biographical notes:

Mark Wilcox Cannon earned his B.A. from the University of Utah in Political Science and Economics; an M.P.A. from Harvard in Public Administration; and his M.A. and Ph.D., also both from Harvard University, both in Political Science and Government. Cannon has served as Administrative Assistant to Congressman Henry Aldous Dixon, 1956-1960; Legislative Assistant to Senator Wallace F. Bennett, 1961-1963; Chairman, BYU Political Science Department, 1961-1964; Director of the Venezuelan Urban Development Project, IPA, 1964-1965; Director of International Programs, IPA, 1965-1968. Most notably, Mark served as Administrative Assistant to the Chief Justice Warren Berger of the Supreme Court, 1972 - ; Executive Director, Judicial Fellows Program, 1973-77; Staff director, Bicentennial commission, 1987; owner and co-partner, Geneva Steel Mill, Provo, 1988. Mark Cannon is the author or co-author of 5 political books and 25 articles.
