Biographical notes:

George N. Marshall (1915-1993) attended Tufts University, Columbia University, Harvard University and Walden University . He began his ministry as a chaplain for the United States Air Force during World War II. He served churches in South Easton, Plymouth, and Niagara Falls. In 1960, Marshall became the minister of the Church of the Larger Fellowship and remained in that position for 25 years. Marshall also served as a member of Americans for Democratic Action, Planned Parenthood, the African Study Association, and the National Council of Boy Scouts. He authored Challenge of a Liberal Faith ; Buddha: the Quest for Serenity ; A. Powell Davies and His Times ; Schweitzer, A Biography ; An Understanding of Albert Schweitzer ; Facing Death and Grief ; and Patriot with a Pen . He died on February 15, 1993.
