George Herman "Babe" Ruth, baseball player, was born on February 6, 1895 in Baltimore, Maryland. His World War I draft card cites his birth date as February 7, 1894. He died on August 17, 1948.

Babe Ruth played for the Boston Red Sox (1914-1919), New York Yankees (1920-1934), and the Boston Braves (1935). Ruth pitched for the Red Sox (1914-1919). After his playing career, Ruth spent one season as a coach with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. George M. Weiss was the Vice President of the New York Yankees.
