Wesleyan College (Macon, Ga.)
Biographical notes:
The Georgia Female College opened in Macon, Georgia in 1839 as the first college chartered to grant degrees to women. In 1843, the name changed to Wesleyan Female College and by 1917 to Wesleyan College.
