Biographical notes:
Community activist, schoolteacher, and wife of Elvin R. Caldwell Sr. (former Colorado state legislator and Denver City Councilman). Graduate of Manual High School (Denver, Colo.). Teaching degree from University of Denver. Taught elementary school for several years in Carlsbad, New Mexico, then worked 27 years at Mitchell Elementary School (Denver, Colo.).
