McKenzie-Herring family.

Dates:
Active 1852
Active 1908

Biographical notes:

The McKenzie and Herring families are the primary creators of this collection of letters, which also contains correspondence of the Black and Senn families. The families resided in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas and Louisiana. From evidence found in the letters the two families of McKenzie and Herring seem to be related by marriage. The letters from the Black family seem to be connected to the McKenzie family by the partnership of McKenzie and Black, brokers and manufacturers' agents in Shreveport, La. There is some correspondence from the Senn family but the connection to the other families is unclear.

From the description of McKenzie-Herring family letters, 1852-1908. (Unknown). WorldCat record id: 122542391
