Biographical notes:
The Westerners was formed in 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, by a group who held a common interest in discovering and understanding the American West. The Westerners Wyoming Corral was founded in May 1953, as a statewide organization, but discontinued around 1956. In 1971 the Laramie Corral was established, drawing its membership from Albany County. The Westerners Laramie Corral was active until 1978.
