Cook, Alexander, 1901-
Biographical notes:
One of the founders of United Automobile Workers Federal Labor Union No. 18331. Elected president of the union in 1933. Re-elected president in 1934. Subsequently became president of the Automobile Workers Council of Flint, which included members from Buick, A.C. Spark Plug, Fisher Body No. 1, and Fisher Body No. 2. Fired for his union activities, he worked as a union organizer for AFL in the thirties. Born in Russia in 1901.
