Biographical notes:
Rancher, oilman, entrepreneur. Born in 1892. Grandson of C.C. Slaughter. Operated (1915-1916) family's 300,000 acre ranch in Sonora, Mexico until forced to leave as a result of the Mexican Revolution. Operated family ranch in West Texas and then became involved with the growth of the oil industry in Hockley County (Tex.). Died 1969.
