Elizabeth Lynn Linton was a Victorian-era author and journalist. Although she did achieve some success as a novelist, her greatest contribution to the literature of the times was an extraordinary number of widely-read journal articles. Independent and paradoxical, she was often labelled an anti-feminist, although she herself was emancipated and generally supported women's rights, excluding political ones.
