Hinckley, Bryant Stringham 1867-1961
Biographical notes:
Bryant S. Hinckley spent his childhood at Cove Fort in Millard County, Utah; later attended Brigham Young Academy; served as principal of LDS Business College in Salt Lake City; general manager of Deseret Gym; member of YMMIA General Board, 1900-1925; president of Liberty Stake, 1919-1936; Northern States Mission president, 1936-1939; and also, in his later life, worked in Church Administration Building in various capacities. Noted author and educator, his writings appeared in numerous Church publications and lesson manuals. He is father of Church President Gordon B. Hinckley.
