The Arizona River Runners Incorporated was founded in the late 1960's and based in Marble Canyon, Arizona. The president of Arizona River Runners incorporated was Fred Burke.

The companies main concern was preserving the quality of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. Arizona River Runners concentrated most of its efforts in dealing with the quota and motor vs. oar issues of river runners. They tried to regulate the number of people on the river and motors or boats along with other pollution and preservation issues

Copies of legislation concerning the Colorado River and the Canyon's preservation make up the majority of the collection. Numerous letters from Senator Barry Goldwater regarding the Canyon and Colorado are also included in the collection.
