Cyril Joad was an English philosopher. He was a conscientious objector during the First World War. He worked at the Board of Trade and Ministry of Labour for sixteen years. He was Professor of Philosophy and Psychology, Birkbeck College 1930 and is also remembered for his part in the B.B.C. Brains Trust 1941-1947.
