Gas engineer, consultant and Company Director. Superintendant City of Birmingham Gas Works 1899. Assistant Engineer Metropolitan Gas Co., Melbourne, 1902. 1913 Chairman and later Managing Director local board, Colonial Gas Association Ltd., and of the Head Office when transferred from London to Melbourne, 1924, until death. Director various companies.
