Lawyer and business executive. Educated at Harvard: A.B. (1942), I.A. (1943), M.B.A. (1946), LL. B. (1949). Partner in Cleveland, Ohio law firm of Hahn, Loesser, Freedheim, Dean and Wellman. President, Midland Enterprises, Inc., Cincinnati. Joined Eastern Gas and Fuel Associates, Boston, Mass. in 1961; became president in 1962; chief executive officer, 1963; chairman, 1973.
