O'Dwyer family.
Biographical notes:
Residents of Fairfield, Conn.
Sylvia M. O'Dwyer was active in Fairfield politics in the 1930s, particularly with the repeal of prohibition. Her husband, William M. O'Dwyer, served as postmaster for the town of Fairfield from 1933 to 1957 and later as selectman. Their son, William J. O'Dwyer, a builder by profession, rose to the rank of Major in the Air Force Reserve. His interest in aviation was key to his research of the early flights of Fairfield resident Gustave Whitehead.
