Marianna Griswold (Mrs. Schuyler) Van Rensselaer, 1851-1934, born New York. Art critic, author. Ltt. D. Columbia in 1910, honorary member American Institute of Architects, and awarded gold medal by American Academy of Arts and Letters. Books include: H.H. Richardson and His Works, English Cathedrals, Art Out of Doors, and History of the City of New York in the Seventeenth Century.
