Biographical notes:
Peter Zink was born in Germany, son of Peter and Anna (Bohnet) Zink. Wed Theresa Lettner, a German immigrant, in 1884. She died in 1929. They are buried at Carrington, N.D.

Born at Rockwell, Iowa, son of Dr. E.C. and Mrs. Miller. Family moved to Brookings, S.D. in 1899. He graduated from S.D. State College in 1905, moved to Carrington, N.D. in 1906 to work for his uncle, T.N. Putnam. 1911, he bought out his uncle's partner, G.W. Wiley, and moved to Melville, N.D. to operate a lumberyard. Joined the Masonic lodge in 1908. Left the lumber business in 1921, offered a job as deputy grand secretary of the Masonic Bodies of North Dakota.
