Biographical notes:
Lucy Peel, born November 13, 1849, was the daughter of General Phil Cook. She attended Wesleyan College. In April 1874, Lucy Peel married William Lawson Peel, and they had 3 daughters: Mrs. W.H. Kiser, Mrs. Phinizy Calhoun, and Mrs. Stephen Watts. Mrs. Peel founded the Joseph Habersham Chapter of the DAR.
