Biographical notes:

Born in England in 1613, Daniel Denison emigrated to Ipswich, Mass. in 1635 where he became a military leader and was also involved in colonial politics.

During King Philip's War, Denison was appointed in 1675 commander in chief of the Massachusetts's troops.
