Biographical notes:

Originally commissioned an infantry officer in 1917. During World War II was initially a coast artillery commander and then entered military intelligence work. After being schooled at Camp Ritchie, MD, Winslett was given command of an intelligence detachment which served briefly in Europe before being transferred to the Pacific theater. In 1946, Winslett was a major, and in charge of the official Visitors Liason Office, Headquarters, I Corps.
