Biographical notes:
Thomas H. Kuchel served as a member of the California Assembly, 1937-1940; in the California Senate, 1940-1946; and as controller for the State of California, 1953-1969. He served as a United States Senator from California from 1953-1969. He was assistant Republican leader in 1959 and 1960, and his committee service included Appropriations and Interior and Insular affairs.
