Biographical notes:

A native of Georgia, Richardson attended college in Atlanta before marrying Indianapolis attorney and legislator Henry J. Richardson, Jr. In Indianapolis, Richardson became active in a number of civic, religious, educational, and political organizations, and supported her husband's projects while raising two sons. From 1971 through 1978 she directed the Career Sampling Program at Shortridge High School. After her husband's death, she has continued her community activities.
