Samuel Harrison Thomson (1895-1975) was Professor of Medieval History at the University of Colorado at Boulder, succeeding James Field Willard in 1936. He was the author of Latin Book Hands of the Later Middle Ages, 1100-1500, and works on John Wyclyf, John Hus, and Robert Grosseteste. Thomson was founder and editor of Medievalia et Humanistica and the Journal of Central European Affairs. These manuscripts were originally part of his private collection.
