Biographical notes:
Ralph E. Frede, public relations professional, received a bachelor's degree in Journalism (1943) and master's degree in Government (1947) from the University of Texas at Austin.
While there, he was editor of the Daily Texan. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was county coordinator for Homer P. Rainey's 1946 gubernatorial campaign. He went on to serve as a public relations and fundraising professional at Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Houston, and the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, as well as to teach public relations at the university level.
