Biographical notes:
Soon after he was ordained in 1938, Father Edward Kowrach was given pastoral charge of the Roman Catholic parish and institutional chaplaincy at Medical Lake, Wash. When he returned from studies in psychiatry and psychology at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., he became the first resident full-time chaplain at the Medical Lake facility. He served as chairman for the Washington State Inter-Faith Advisory Committee.
