Theophilus Francis Rodenbough (1828-1912) was a soldier and author from Pennsylvania, having served in the Civil War as second lieutenant, captain, and brigadier-general. He was given the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1864 and retired from the Army in 1870, thereafter devoting most of his time to historical and genealogical writing. Rodenbough produced _Afghanistan and the Anglo-Russion Dispute_, 1885, and _Autumn Leaves from Family Trees_, 1892, in addition to frequent contributions to periodicals.
