Church Women United in Indiana: 1916-1998.
Biographical notes:
The Indiana Council of Church Women was formed circa 1929, and in the early 1930s became part of the Council of Federated Church Women. The name of the organization was changed to the United Church Women circa 1940, and to Church Women United in 1966. The group's activities have included participation in World Day of Prayer, World Community Day, May Fellowship Day, and International Women's Year. Church Women United in Indiana supports Indianapolis charities such as Flanner House, Goodwill Industries, and Wheeler Mission Ministries.
