Church Women United in Indiana
Biographical notes:
The Indiana Council of Church Women was formed in 1929 as a charitable organization and to promote Christian ecumenism. It joined United Church Women, a national organization, upon its founding in 1941, and became United Church Women in Indiana. In 1966 a reorganization caused the name to change to Church Women United in Indiana. The group is involved in women's and other social causes.
