Louis C. Curth is the author of "The Forest Rangers: a History of the New York State Forest Ranger Force," published by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in 1987. Curth is a retired forest ranger who devoted his career to the Forest Preserve, working for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
