Worcester Lunch Car and Carriage Company founded by Philip H. Duprey and Irving M. Stoddard in 1906; name later changed to Worcester Lunch Car Company; built a total of 651 diners, many of which still exist in New England, noted for their high quality of work, hand-made wooden elements, and clerestory windows; company ceased operations in 1961.
