The Committee on Stock List, also known in early years as Committee on Additions to the Stock List, set requirements and regulations for admitting securities to the trading list, considered all listing applications, recommended approval or rejection to the Governing Committee, and set requirements for the engraving of stock and bond certificates. Also took responsibility for examining the financial reports of listed corporations and monitoring financial standing. The Department of Stock List took over duties of the Committee, 1941. It also assumed additional duties relating to marketing and market surveillance.
