United States. Department of Agriculture
The United States Department of Agriculture was established in 1862 by President Abraham Lincoln and was elevated to a Cabinet level organization by President Grover Cleveland in 1889. The Department of Agriculture assists farmers and producers of food as well as creating policies and programs related to food distribution and nutrition information.
The United States Department of Agriculture controls a number of regional offices through out the continential United States and its territories.
