Teed, Matthew, 1828-1904.

Matthew Teed was born in Devonshire, England on April 17, 1828 and early on received his apprenticeship in the carpenter's trade.

In 1849 Teed immigrated to America seeking his fortune in the California and later Colorado gold mines.
