Allen, Samuel Earl
Samuel E. Allen was the son of Samuel W. Allen, owner of one of the oldest and largest ranches in Southeast Texas. The Allen Ranch became the present-day commercial area of Houston, and the ranch house was moved to Galveston Bay where it became Camp Allen of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas
