Scott Family.
David "Scotty" Stuart Scott and Lillian "Jit" Scott, brother and sister, were both affected by World War I and the military. David Stuart served in the Twenty-Seventh Division, from New York, where he witnessed firsthand the ravages of trench warfare while in the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe; his correspondence vividly details life of the American soldier during the war. His sister, Lillian, corresponded regularly with many gentlemen stationed in various places during the conflict. Their voice adds to the story of the war. Much of the biographical information about the Scott family is unknown in this collection. Davis Stuart Scott was born on January 4, 1894.
