North Carolina State University. Agricultural Policy Institute
The Agricultural Policy Institute was created in 1960 via a grant from the Kellogg Foundation, and was run by the Department of Agricultural Economics (which later merged into the Department of Economics and is currently called the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics). The Institute's mission was primarily an educational one, and it set forth to study the economic issues facing the South and to aid the formation of public policy in confronting these issues. The Institute was disbanded in 1970.
