The Arizona River Runners Incorporated was founded in the late 1960's and based in Marble Canyon, Arizona. The president of Arizona River Runners incorporated was Fred Burke.

The companies main concern was preserving the quality of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. Arizona River Runners concentrated most of its efforts in dealing with the quota and motor vs. oar issues of river runners.
