Tuerk, Fred J. (Fred James), 1922-

Republican representative from Peoria, Illinois from 1969 to 1988. Served the forty-third district (1969-1972), the forty-sixth district (1973-1982), and the ninety-third district (1983-1988).

Chairman of the Industrial Affairs Committee (1973-1974) and the Labor and Commerce Committee (1981-1982) and member of the Labor Laws Commission (1973-1974). Also served as spokesman for the Labor and Commerce (1985-1986) and World's Fair - 1992 (1985-1986) Committees.
