Lyman B. Kirkpatrick was Inspector General and Executive Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and served with the agency from its inception in 1947 until 1965. Kirkpatrick began his work in intelligence services in the U.S. Army and the Office of Special Services during World War II.
