Utah & Northern Railway Company.
The Utah & Northern Railway Company was incorporated on April 30, 1878, after investors purchased the Utah Northern Railroad Company in a foreclosure sale on April 3. When the Utah & Northern Railway commenced operation, its lines extended from Ogden, Utah, in the south, through Logan, Utah, and to Franklin, Idaho, in the North. Over the next five years, the company extended their line north to Garrison, Montana, where it joined the Northern Pacific Railroad. On August 1, 1889, the line was consolidated into the Oregon Short Line & Utah Northern Railway Company.
