Blackmore, William, 1827-1878
William Blackmore was a British entrepreneur who promoted British and Dutch investment in Southwestern land. He began his career as a representative of English mining interests in New Mexico after the Civil War. He developed investment ventures in Colorado and New Mexico. His ventures involved Spanish and Mexican land grants.
