Berry, Erick, 1892-1974

Erick Berry was the pseudonym of author and illustrator (Evangell) Allena Champlin Best, (1892-?), the daughter of George G. Champlin, a reference librarian at the New York State Library and May (Allen) Champlin. She grew up in Albany, New York and married first, Carroll Thayer Berry and second, (Oscar) Herbert Best. With Best, Erick Berry resided in Africa, England, Fort Ann, New York and Sharon, Connecticut.
