Spanish Merchants Association of Philadelphia

The Spanish Merchants Company was established by the Spanish Merchants Association of Philadelphia to distribute milk to Spanish-speaking grocers. It was the first minority milk cooperative to act as a subdealer with its own license not subject to price controls of the Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board. Profits were paid out to shareholders in quarterly dividends.
