Saron Lutheran Church (Hoqiam, Wash.)
Sunday School began in the Hoquiam area one year before Saron Lutheran was officially organized in 1908 by Rev. J. A. Levin. A Ladies’ Aid was organized in 1908 and a young people’s group in 1912.
Services were held in Swedish in the Union Church until the congregation moved into a church on 4th Street. English services were introduced in 1922, but in 1938 it was resolved to have one service each month in the Swedish language.
